Assessments & development centers
Good decisions about people require more than intuition.
An assessment is not a checkbox. It is a decision about leadership.
Do you recognize one of these situations?
- You are torn between two external candidates in a selection process?
- Three internal candidates seem perfectly suited for succession into an important role.
- You want to quickly integrate a C-level candidate into your organization?
The underlying question is always the same: are you investing in the right leaders?
An integrated view of leadership
Developing leadership is complex. Effective leaders distinguish themselves not only through skills and experience, but also through personality, ambition and the ability to bring people along through change. At the same time, they are shaped by the organizational culture and structure they help create, and by an external context that is constantly changing. That is why we always examine leadership potential from four complementary perspectives.
Leadership and personality
Leadership starts with self-awareness. That is why we clearly map personality, drivers, leadership style and potential risks. With an integrated assessment methodology, we identify both leadership potential and possible dysfunctional behavior that can affect a leader’s effectiveness.
Potential and development
Leadership is not just about what someone shows today, but also about what is possible tomorrow. That is why we assess candidates’ learning ability, developability and room for growth, giving a clear picture of their future leadership potential.
Behavior and leadership skills
Insight only gains value once it becomes visible in behavior. Through business cases, simulations and role plays, we see how candidates analyze, make decisions, communicate and lead in situations that reflect the reality of the role.
Context and strategic fit
Leadership is never separate from its context. That is why we start from your organization’s ambitions, the challenges of the role and the desired culture. This shows to what extent the candidate fits that environment and has the potential to achieve the stated objectives.
Our approach
Our added value lies not only in the methodology or process, but also in the people who apply them. Our senior consultants combine validated assessment tools with leadership experience and deep insight into your business context. Each assignment is tailor-made from the design and the competencies we assess to the reporting and recommendations.
Preparation
Together with stakeholders, we sharpen the objective, context and role. Based on this, we draw up a competency profile that guides both the assessment and subsequent development.
Assessment
A personality test, leadership scan, individual interview, business case and role play give a broad picture of personality, leadership qualities, mindset and behavior under pressure.
Reporting
We substantiate our advice in writing and explain it verbally, with clarity on strengths, development areas and recommendations.
Feedback
We provide feedback to the candidate. If desired, we extend the advice to the team level.
The result
Our assessments and development centers provide insight into:
- What the candidate has to offer and where the question marks lie
- Who is ready for the next step
- Where the growth opportunities lie
- Whether the candidate matches the culture you are aiming for
- Which development areas need to be addressed
- How an external leader can quickly make an impact within your organization
Team dynamics
From individual leadership to collective impact
The effectiveness of a leadership team is more than the sum of individual talents. That is why we analyze how leaders complement each other, which roles and strengths are present within the team, and which values connect them. We also map what happens under pressure: which pitfalls emerge and how they affect collaboration and decision-making. This gives you insight into the collective strength of the leadership team and the extent to which it can achieve your strategic ambitions.
